Pastor: Dr. John Warren

     John Warren is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and has served as Derma Baptist's Pastor since 2004.  His deepest passion is to help Derma reach the community and the world with the love of Jesus Christ.  John has earned a Bachelor of General Studies from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as a Master of Theology and a Doctor of Christian Counseling from Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla, Georgia.
     John considers his greatest achievements in life to be his family and friends.  He and his wife, Janienne have four children; Joshua, Matthew, Daniel, and Jennifer.  The newest addition to their family is Joshua's wife, Molly.
     Bro. John is known by many names.  Some call him, The Pope.  Others call him, Rib-eye (Rabbi).  But he loves to go by the name, Bro. J.

Minister of Worship: Stephen McRight

     Stephen came to Derma Baptist Church in August, 2008.  He has served churches in Alabama and Mississippi for over twenty-five years with Derma being his first full-time ministry position.  Stephen surrendered to the Gospel Ministry while attending the University of North Alabama in 1983 and has been serving in some capacity ever since.
     Stephen grew up in Florence, Alabama where he attended Fairview Baptist Church and accepted Jesus as Savior at the age of nine.  "Music has always been a driving force in my life.  As I have grown, I have realized the importance of music and more importantly the worship aspect that it brings to our services. I enjoy worshipping and praising my Lord with music," Stephen states.
     Stephen enjoys spending time with his family.  He is married to Kathy McGee McRight of Florence and they have two children, Morgan and Andrew.

 

 

Minister of Students: Jeremy Lytal
 
 
     Jeremy came to Derma Baptist Church in April, 2011. He has served in churches in North Mississippi, with DBC being his first full time position. Jeremy has a passion to work with young people, and a vision to see them make a difference in the community. Jeremy has a earned a Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies from Blue Mountain College.
     Jeremy grew up in Tupelo, Ms. He graduated from Tupelo High School. While attending ICC he met his wife Lydia. She eventually attended Blue Mountain College, graduating with a degree in Secondary Education Biology. Jeremy and Lydia also have a son named Greyson that was born in 2009. His family is what he considers to be his most prized accomplishment.
     Jeremy loves any sport, especially Alabama Football. " As much as I love sports, it takes a back seat to building up Youth, and teaching them the way to live a passionate life for Christ"
